# How to Make It:
- Heat a large deep skillet or Dutch oven over medium-high heat and cook the sliced smoked sausage for 3 to 4 minutes, stirring occasionally until browned.
- Add diced onion and red bell pepper to the skillet and sauté for 3 minutes until they begin to soften.
- Stir in minced garlic and Cajun seasoning, cooking for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add uncooked pasta, chicken broth, heavy cream, black pepper, salt, and smoked paprika, stirring well to mostly submerge the pasta.
- Bring mixture to a gentle boil, then reduce heat to medium-low. Cover and simmer for 12 to 14 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pasta is al dente and most liquid is absorbed.
- Remove from heat and stir in grated Parmesan until sauce is creamy and smooth.
- Taste and adjust salt or pepper to preference.
- Top with chopped fresh parsley and extra Parmesan cheese before serving.
