Lavender Oat Milk Latte (Printable)

Creamy oat milk meets floral lavender and rich espresso in a soothing vegan beverage inspired by Starbucks.

# What You Need:

→ Lavender Syrup

01 - 1/4 cup water
02 - 1/4 cup granulated sugar
03 - 1 tablespoon dried culinary lavender buds

→ Latte

04 - 2 shots (2 oz) espresso or 1/2 cup strong brewed coffee
05 - 2 cups oat milk
06 - 2–3 tablespoons lavender syrup, to taste
07 - Ice, optional

# How to Make It:

01 - Combine water, granulated sugar, and dried lavender buds in a small saucepan. Bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves. Simmer for 2 minutes, then remove from heat. Allow to steep for 5 minutes. Strain out lavender buds using a fine mesh strainer, then cool the syrup.
02 - Using an espresso machine or coffee maker, prepare 2 shots of espresso or brew 1/2 cup of strong coffee.
03 - Warm oat milk in a saucepan or froth using a milk frother until hot and foamy. If preparing an iced latte, use chilled oat milk and skip heating.
04 - Add lavender syrup to a mug or glass. Pour in freshly brewed espresso or coffee, then top with oat milk. Stir gently to ensure thorough blending.
05 - For an iced version, place ice into the glass before adding espresso and oat milk.
06 - Garnish with a sprinkle of dried culinary lavender buds or a twist of lemon zest, if desired. Serve immediately.
